Expanding on the Success of the ‘JUNK’ World Tour
The new tour follows Yonezu’s KENSHI YONEZU 2025 WORLD TOUR / JUNK, which attracted approximately 90,000 fans across seven cities.
With 11 cities and 14 performances planned for GHOST, the upcoming international run represents a major step forward in the artist’s global touring journey.
The expanded itinerary also demonstrates the increasing importance of international audiences to Japanese artists as streaming platforms, social media and global entertainment communities make music more accessible across national borders.
Yonezu has established himself as one of Japan’s most prominent contemporary musical talents, combining songwriting, production and distinctive visual artistry. His work has reached audiences well beyond Japan, helping introduce Japanese-language music to a broader international fan base.
Five New Cities Highlight Global Expansion
One of the defining features of the GHOST tour is its arrival in five cities where Yonezu has not previously performed: Singapore, Oakland, Mexico City, Toronto and Amsterdam.
These debut appearances will give new audiences the opportunity to experience his music live while extending his presence across several major international concert markets.
The return to cities including Los Angeles, the New York metropolitan area, London and Paris will also build on connections established during his previous international tour.
Taipei is set to host two consecutive dome performances, while Seoul will receive three shows, making both markets important stops on the Asian leg.
Japanese Music Continues to Reach Global Audiences
Yonezu’s international touring expansion comes amid growing worldwide interest in Japanese music, anime soundtracks and contemporary Japanese pop culture.
His ability to combine memorable melodies with original visual concepts has helped distinguish his work in a competitive global music industry. His songs have also benefited from the international popularity of Japanese animation and entertainment.
The GHOST tour is expected to strengthen those connections by bringing his performances to major arenas across three continents.
For the live music industry, the scale of the upcoming tour highlights the opportunities available to Japanese artists seeking to build audiences outside their home market.
Ticket Sales and What Fans Should Know
The general ticket sale for the announced international dates is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 12 noon local time, through Live Nation and relevant ticketing platforms.
Fans should check official local promoter websites for venue-specific ticket information, presale arrangements, availability and any additional announcements.
With approximately 200,000 attendees expected across 14 shows, the KENSHI YONEZU 2026–2027 WORLD TOUR / GHOST is shaping up to be the largest international tour of the Japanese artist’s career.
As Yonezu prepares to bring his music to new cities and returning audiences, the tour represents another milestone in the growing global reach of Japanese music.
